Thank you! My children enjoyed practicing with you. Every Saturday they would be eager to get going and the performance at the end was amazing.

My daughter has been with CATS for a couple years now - both camps and in-year programs. The productions are very well thought out and produced, and the staff are very helpful and hands on. Would recommend to anyone!!

Our daughter Lara has been attending CATS for the past three years and has had an excellent experience throughout. It's been wonderful to see her growth in both ability and confidence over that period; in fact, this year she played the role of Matilda and delivered an amazing performance. None of that would have been possible without the help of the talented coaches at the High Park location (shout out to Claudia, Claire and Liam!) who have been encouraging, patient and fun with the kids. See you again next year! Pari and Raj

Our daughter has been participating in the CATS summer program for two summers and now just finished her first year with the school year program! What a fantastic experience she’s had! She’s developed some great acting and singing skills, and made fantastic friendships! She can’t wait to do it again next year!

This drama school is top notch! There aren’t enough words to describe the incredible experience my daughter has had with Children’s Art Theatre School over the past 3 years. When a child continues to ask to go back, it truly says a lot. From Amanda’s stellar communication (Office Mgr) to the ever so talented Mark (Director), each touch point with CATS has been exceptional, seamless and headache free! We can’t stress enough how grateful we are to be a part of the CATS family. It’s very apparent how skillful and passionate staff are. They wholeheartedly care for the kids by really advocating for each one to shine. The interaction with participants is engaging, never boring. They promote teamwork, offer ways to perfect creativity and create a place that’s safe to thrive in. My daughter has really found classes to be empowering, with opportunities to discover who she wants to be. Making friends here with similar mindsets has been invaluable to both self esteem and confidence. One of the big highlights this year was the Spring production! The staff really goes out of their way to produce a semi-pro performance for the participants by including fun costumes, décor, tech and custom playbills at an ACTUAL theatre. This year Matilda was a smashing success. There were smiles aplenty onstage while kiddos confidently sang, danced and acted out numerous scenes. What a marvelous, memorable moment to be a part of! THANK YOU CATS, you deserve more stars than 5!!!

Thank you for the wonderful Winter and Spring season this year. My daughter LOVES being a part of the High park 12+ Wednesday group! She’s learned so much already and has met some amazingly talented people and made good friends. We were so proud to see her in Matilda! She’ll be back in the Fall 🙂 We love CATS!

Meet CATS Alumni: Liora Klein! 🎭

"I started going to CATS at the age of 3 and I never really left. CATS is where I discovered my love for theatre!

The CATS staff pretty much raised me, it was my second home and the place I felt I could really be myself and let loose. I spent my entire youth going to classes on Saturdays as well as every summer going to camp (I never missed a camp from the age of 3 to 20).

Once I was old enough, I became a CIT and from there taught at summer camp for seven summers in the Dance department. Some of my favourite shows while a student include Peter Pan, Annie, Superspoof, The Sound Of Music, and Mary Poppins.

When I graduated from being a CATS student, I began auditioning and getting cast in Mainstage Theatre Company and also attended Etobicoke School of the Arts as a Musical Theatre student. I then took my training further and went on to graduate with my BFA in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Hartford Connecticut.

After graduating, I move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. I have been in several short films and was featured in a short film directed by Abigail Breslin. I have also performed in several musical theatre cabarets.

I could not have gotten where I am today without my incredible experience at CATS. CATS taught me how to be my own person and gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams. I am incredibly grateful for all my instructors that helped me evolve into the person I am today!" ~ Liora Klein
