Summer Camps

Junior Program (ages 3 - 5)
A two week half day/full day program which will focus on visual arts, storytelling, puppetry, pantomime, improvisation, creative movement, tableaux and performance.
This class will also include a behind-the-scenes component, which will allow the
students the opportunity to design and construct sets, props etc., for the performance.

Intermediate Program (ages 6 - 9)
A two week half day/full day program which will focus on improvisation, visual arts,
role-playing, mask, mime, creative dance, voice, comedy, physical theatre and performance. This class will also include a behind-the-scenes component, which will
allow the students the opportunity to design and construct sets, props etc., for
the performance.

Advanced Program (ages 10 - 13)
A two week half day/full day program which will focus on visual arts and advanced theatre skills, including improvisation, voice, creative dance, comedy, script-writing
and performance. The director will assist the students in writing and developing their
ideas in dramatic form.



Full Days and Half Days

Children's Arts Theatre School Summer Camps
offers full day or half day sessions.

The AM Half Day Session offers an intensive,
structured creative arts program in drama,
dance and visual arts.

The PM Half Day Session is less structured,
but still maintains a variety of creative arts in the outdoors,
combined with a special event and an afternoon elective.

Health, Food and Safety

Food

Please make sure your children eat a full breakfast and remember
to bring their lunches to the camp
Because of food allergies, we request that no peanut or nut products be
brought onto the camp premises

Refrigeration is not always available at our camp loacations.
Please do not include perishable foods with lunches

Nutritious snacks are provided twice daily

Fresh fruit and juice are available all day.
Students are welcome to help themselves at any time


Health and Safety

The camp director must be made aware of any allergies/health issues in writing
prior to commencement of the summer camp session

Parents are responsible for ensuring their children are supplied with any required
medication while attending the camp

All staff have received St. John's Ambulance first aid training

Excellent (5:1) student to teacher ratio is maintained for proper safety
and supervision

All staff wear visible camp T-shirts for quick identification
