Children's Arts Theatre School, with its unique formula of fun and encouraging theatre environment, is now in its 16th successful year in Toronto. Our theatre school has developed serious and disciplined young artists who have come to tell their stories in voice, movement and writing. Their talents are boundless, their expressions are illuminating and their commitment to their own development is inspiring.

In founding Children's Arts Theatre School, I have invested my many years of creative growth, experience and accomplishment to establish an environment where expansion of the child's expression can take place. I make a strong initial contact with each child. Each child is to know that he or she is accepted by me, the staff and the other children. Once this acceptance is established, we work through a series of imaginative games and exercises; opening the door to powers and gifts inside them they often have no idea exist.

In our energetic, and creative teaching environment, we encourage students of all ages to explore the world around them, expressing their own uniqueness and feeling of self-worth in a safe environment.

Gina has worked in theatre for over 30 years, guiding young artists through the challenging and rewarding aspects of producing live theatre! Gina received her degrees in Child Psychology and Theatre Arts from the University of Wilfred Laurier, and is a graduate of the Drama Therapy Institute in London, England. She has studied and performed Shakespeare in Stratford upon-Avon, and worked as a Drama Coordinator for Toronto Parks and Recreation. Before launching Children's Arts Theatre School, Gina also worked with Outdoor Theatre Productions, Yonge Street Players and A.M.I Montessori Schools in Toronto.
